Challenge yourself to either a 5, 8,15 or 20 kilometer run at the Lion and Safari Park in Lanseria on Saturday, 28 January 2023.
What Can I Expect From The Running with Kings at The Lion and Safari Park?
Calling all athletes, amateurs and fitness enthusiasts, enjoy a day in the country with wide open plains out in nature and in the forests and fields! Your reward will be an ice-cold complimentary beer at the finish line! Enjoy spending time in the chill zone or at the local restaurant where you can enjoy a fantastic post-run breakfast. Tickets start from R250 per person for an adult completing a 5km and kids under 12 (accompanied by an adult) will pay R150 per person. View the various entry fees here.
Your entry to The Running with Kings event includes a finisher medal (a branded glass at the finish line where you can enjoy a complimentary drink.) Your choice of drink is either a Golden Draught or a Ginger Berry Beer after the run. You can also enjoy a chill zone with live music, fully stocked waterpoints and exclusive access to well-marked trails. The Lion and Safari Park are ensuring that there is medical support for a safe event.
You’ll be pleased to know that there are no extreme climbs or immensely difficult terrain. The event caters to all fitness levels and it’s a wonderful way to kick off the new year & stretch those legs! Walkers and hikers are welcome to sign up on the 5km & 8km routes.
