Run the North – Northgate Road Race 2023

Save the date for the 25th Anniversary of the Run the North – Northgate Road Race 2023 scheduled for Sunday, 23rd July 2023. This exciting event will take place at the Northgate Shopping Centre.

What Can I Expect From The Northgate Road Race 2023?

The event offers two race distances, a 10km and a 5km race, both starting at 07:30. The 10km race is open to runners and race walkers at a fee of R140 per participant. If you’re not registered with an athletics club, an additional fee of R60 for a temporary license will be required. The 5km race, costing R70 per participant, requires no licenses, and everyone is welcome to join, including walkers. Grandmaster entry fees are R60 and R50 for the 10km and 5km races, respectively. Please note, all fees exclude online transaction fees.

Pre-entries will close on Sunday, 16th July 2023. Race number packs can be collected on Friday, 21st July 2023 from 17:00 to 19:00 and on Saturday, 22nd July 2023 from 09:00 to 15:00 at entrance 4 of the Northgate shopping centre.

All participants who complete either race will receive a medal, with a prize-giving ceremony scheduled for 09:00. The race is run in accordance with the rules of ASA and CGA, and is organised by the Roodepoort Athletics Club and made possible by Northgate Shopping Centre.
