Did you know that the Oktoberfest at the Deutsche Internationale Schule Pretoria is South Africa’s original Oktoberfest? It also as a fundraiser for the school. It’s going to be the 44th Oktoberfest and its happening on 16 and 17 September.
Join over 10 000 people in celebrating German culture and traditions! It’s a truly traditional fair serving authentic German food items such as Eisbein, Bockwurst, Schnitzel and more. What else will you see at the event? You’ll get to watch a Kronwildkrainer Oompah band from Austria as well as listen to various bands playing everything from rock, pop and traditional German music.
What is Oktoberfest without a biergarten? The beer garden will be stocked with Castle Light, Newlands Spring Craft Beer and Stella Artois Lager for the weekends festivities. Don’t own any traditional clothes, don’t worry as the market stalls will be selling souvenir hats and shirts. Bring the whole family with as there is entertainment and fun activities for kids. Feeling lucky? There will also be multiple raffles with a total of R55 000 in raffle prizes!
If you are interested in attending the event, the general admission tickets are R120 per person and will be R140 at the gate. All raffle tickets, food meals and events can be purchased online.
