Run The North: Northgate Road 5km & 10km Race

The 24th annual Northgate Road Race happening on Sunday, 16 October 2022. Challenge yourself to either a 5km or 10km distance and run the North at your own pace!

What Can I Expect From The Northgate Road Race?

Calling all runners, walkers, amateur athletes and everyone in between. You’re all welcome to enter the race! You can choose between either a 5km or 10km distance. But, don’t leave your entries to the last minute as the first 800 entries of the 10km receive a t-shirt whilst the first 100 entries for the 5km race receive a t-shirt.

Invite your friends, family, colleagues or running club members to participate! The entry fee for the 10km race is R120 per person. Please note that if you are not registered with an athletics club, you will need to pay an additional R30 for a temporary license for the 10km route. The 5km race entry fee is R60 for participants.

The best part of the race is crossing over the finish line and having an ice-cold drink. In this case, you’ll be awarded with a medal when you complete the race. But, don’t rush home after the race as the prize giving starts at 09:00!
