Experience the enchanting story of Noko the porcupine as the NCT presents “Noko Goes to School” in their mesmerising outdoor Imagination Theatre. Set in the heart of the South African bushveld, this captivating tale follows Noko on his first day at Nature’s School. The production will run from Sunday, 17 July until Sunday, 6 August 2023.

Here is a quick synopsis of the play. As lunchtime arrives, Noko and his classmates eagerly open their lunch bags, only to discover a surprising array of food. From wriggling mopani worms to other unique delicacies, the bushveld buddies find themselves in a culinary conundrum. Amidst arguments and bullying, Noko must find a way to solve this lunchtime dilemma.
Written by Eleni Theodorou, this heartwarming story celebrates cultural diversity and inclusivity, encouraging children to embrace differences and forge friendships. Presented by National Children’s Theatre, this safe and unforgettable outdoor performance promises to be family entertainment at its finest.
