If “getting fit” is part of your new years resolution and you have not been to Castle Gorge yet, now is your chance! Join the Johannesburg Hiking Club for a hike in Magaliesberg on 15 January 2022.
This is definitely one of the most memorable hikes in the Magaliesberg. There is so much to see and do! There are crystal clear pools, waterfalls, astounding rock formations, and some wildlife to be spotted. See if you can spot the Giraffe on the hike! Please note that this is a members-only hike, but there are 10 visitor permits up for grabs (they go fast so act fast).
Why not become a Johannesburg Hiking Club member? Then you can ‘sommer’ just pitch up and hike. The hike has been rated as a moderate/difficult hike which means if you are new to hiking with little hiking fitness you could find this hike challenging. The meeting place is at 08:00 at the Castle Gorge Car Park. Don’t be late as you will get left behind! Tickets are R80 per person.
