Matilda at National Children’s Theatre

National Children’s Theatre presents Matilda, in collaboration with Pretoria Youth Theatre. Catch the highly anticipated musical between 30 March and 1 April 2023.

What Can I Expect From Matilda at The National Children’s Theatre?

Roald Dahl’s beloved book, Matilda will reach Joburg audiences during the school holiday. The production has been adapted by Dennis Kelly. The music and lyrics are penned by Tim Minchin and directed for the stage by Matthew Warchus. In short, the musical is centered on protagonist, Matilda, a precocious 5-year-old girl with the gift of telekinesis, who loves reading. She also overcomes her obstacles caused by her family and school, and helps her teacher, Mrs Honey to reclaim her life.

Please note that there is no dress code. However, the cast will remind you that you are ,“never fully dressed without a smile.” The production is suitable for ages 3 and up. Tickets for adults are priced at R140 per person. Tickets for children cost R120 per person. Watch the fun and intriguing theatre production at NCT’s Indoor Inspiration Theatre.
