Are you looking for a fun way to learn and immerse yourself in the Portuguese traditions and food? Then experience the Madeira Island Culture at this fun Madeira Fest happening between Friday 30 September 2022 and Sunday 02 October 2022.

What Can I Expect From The Madeira Fest?

It’s going to be an enjoyable weekend learning about the roots, food, drinks and Portuguese dances with a South African twist! Casa da Madeira in Alberton will be the venue for the festivities and they’re hosting more than 30 local and international artists. Including; Afrikaans singer, Kurt Darren, Biggy, Dr Victor and The Rasta Rebels and Chunda Monki.

It’s also a festival of food as the Portuguese community are known for their scrumptious food. You can look forward to indulging in juicy Prawns, spicy Chourico, Espetada and of course, Pastel de nata. In terms of dancing, there will be traditional dances on show at the Madeira Fest including the traditional Vira and Chula. So, bring your dancing shoes along!

It is a family affair as kids are welcome to join and there will be a kids zone to keep them entertained. So, don’t miss out, invite your friends or family to come along for a day or weekend out in Alberton! Tickets start at R110 per person or you purchase a weekend pass for R400 per person.
