What Can I Expect From The Ladysmith Black Mambazo – Mzansi Fela Festival?

Their international acclaim began with their collaboration with Paul Simon on the 1986 album “Graceland,” leading to numerous accolades, including five Grammy Awards. They dedicated their fifth Grammy to the late President Nelson Mandela. Established by Joseph Shabalala in 1960, Ladysmith Black Mambazo is celebrated as one of South Africa’s prolific recording artists, earning gold and platinum disc honours.

Beyond music, the group serves as a mobile academy preserving South African cultural heritage through their indigenous isicathamiya music. All ages are welcome to attend. Tickets range from R200 to R350 per person.
