The 14th annual Jozi Book Fair is back in town! The festival takes place between 28 and 30 October 2022 at Newtown Park. The book fair aims to provide a platform where culture, reading and writing can be promoted.
The theme for this year’s festival is Reimagine and Remake The World! South Africa is not widely known for a good literacy rate so the fair hopes to address a weak culture of reading and writing in all official South African languages. There’s also an attempt to promote the use of the mother tongue and to encourage people of all ages to pick up a book and get reading again!
Should you attend the festival you can look forward to tables of book sales, book launches, round tables to encourage conversation and debate and exhibitions. The fair is free to all members of the public. So, invite your students, friends or family members with for a fun learning experience!
