Grammy award-winning rock band, Imagine Dragons, have just announced their South African dates as part of their massive Mercury World Tour! It will be the first time ever that they set foot on South African soil! Currently is one Johannesburg date that has been announced that will take place on 4th February 2023.
The Johannesburg leg of the tour will be hosted at South Africa’s largest venue, the FNB Stadium. Ticket sales open on Friday, 8 July at 9am and can be purchased from Ticketmaster.co.za so ensure that you set a reminder on your phone!
The Pop Band which hails from Las Vegas, Nevada, is celebrating the release of their latest album, Mercury – Act 1, with a World Tour. Furthermore, this tour will mark the band’s biggest shows of their career so far. The band boasts over 60 million albums and over 55 million digital songs sold. With more than 108 billion in combined streams! It’s safe to say that they’re one of rocks biggest bands of the past decade.
Their new album, also their fifth studio album, is the first of their music that has been released since 2018! Of which “Enemy,” has topped the Alternative Radio chart for the past seven weeks. The 2021 album, MERCURY – ACT 1 debuted in the Billboard 200 top 10, and at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums charts. It also launched the singles “Wrecked,” “Cutthroat,” and “Follow You.”
They’ve also just released music from their Mercury – Act 2 album with their new single,“Bones.” The new album has been described as a spirited examination of life and death.
