Get moving this Heritage Day! Embark on a 3-hour, 8km guided hike at Melville Koppies on Sunday, 24 September 2023.
What Can I Expect From The Heritage Day Hike at Melville Koppies Event?
This exhilarating trek winds its way through the Melville Koppies nature reserve and heritage site, extending into Melville Koppies East before looping back into the reserve.
No reservations are required. Arrive at 8:00, as the guided hike kicks off promptly at 8:30. Worried about keeping pace? Fear not – there are multiple points where you can take a detour and find your way back to your starting point. Alternatively, take the heritage trail or explore any of the numerous paths at your own pace.
Secure parking is available opposite the Melville Koppies entrance, at Marks Park Sports Club in Emmarentia. The Koppies are patrolled for added security. Admission is R90 per person, R50 for those under 18. Don comfortable footwear, a hat, and bring along some water.
