Hennesy Back to the City Festival

On the 1st of October, the Hennessey Back to the City Festival will be held at the Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newton. Yes, you heard right, the 14th annual youth festival is back after a two-year hiatus!

What Can I Expect From The Hennesy Back to the City Festival?

It’s going to be a celebration of; live music, street art, break-dancing, street fashion, gaming, art-installations and more at this commercial and underground Hip Hop festival. It’s actually the biggest festival of its kind in Africa! Moreover there will be artists from South Africa and abroad as well performing at this youth event. For example, Youngsta CPT, Big Zulu, Nadia Nakai, Costa Titch, Emtee and more.

There’s going to be over 100 musical acts on 3 different stages! The Back to the City festival is an exciting time in Newton as the inner city really comes alive, celebrating hip hop and youth culture. Phase 3 tickets are on sale for R350 per person. Furthermore, tickets to the event can be booked through Webtickets or in store at Pick n Pay. So, don’t delay book those tickets soon and invite your friends too!
