Janice Honeyman’s Beauty and The Beast Pantomime
The Joburg Theatre is proud to announce Janice Honeyman‘s re-telling of the timeless classic, Beauty, the Beast and the Enchanted Castle. The much-anticipated show will run from 1 November until...
With only a few weeks to go before the season of gift giving, you need to visit the Glenshiel Fair to stock up on all your gifting! Visit them before 16:00 on Sunday, 29 October 2023.
Nestled in the beautiful gardens of the Glenshiel Estate in Westcliff – more than 80 small business owners will be setting up shop to highlight their carefully chosen wares just for you. Travelling from as far afield as the United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, the Cape and Natal Midlands, they’ll be offering Jozi residents some of the most stylish and ‘on-trend’ products only seen on social media or the pages of local style and fashion magazines.
Luxury offerings include beautifully crafted bags, accessories, and clothing, jewellery and scarves. Gorgeous table linens, home décor, bespoke stationery as well as handcrafted Christmas decorations, cakes and cookies. Why not meet up with family and friends for a bite to eat? They will be serving up delicious treats for every taste; pizza, paella, paninis as well as Greek and Argentinian offerings to delight your tastebuds.
The Glenshiel Fair is not your ‘everyday market’ and it’s not just about shopping. There is an enormous ‘feel good’ factor in your visit. The proceeds of each entrance or raffle ticket sold goes towards the valuable work of the Order of St John (NPO 000-814) to further their eye care, first aid, youth development and community health care projects across the country. Previous fairs have allowed the Order of St John to provide health care training in numerous under resourced rural communities in partnership with the Phelophepa Train as well as refurbish a mobile eye clinic, able to reach those communities who do not have access to affordable, professional eye care services. There are some exciting prizes to be won.
The Glenshiel Fair is a four-and-a-half-day event, so if you take your shopping seriously, book your tickets early.
