Come along and spend 67 minutes of your time, serving and giving back to Joburg’s inner city at this year’s Nelson Mandela Day Challenge. You’re able to select from 3 events that take place over 17 and 18 July.

What Can I Expect From the Nelson Mandela Day Challenge?

Choose your event/challenge from the options below:

OPTION 1 – Mandela Day Ponte Challenge: Where you climb the stairs of the well-known Hillbrow skyscraper!

Spend just R67 to enter the toughest stairs climb in Joburg and donate R5 for every floor you conquer! A workout as well as a great initiative to raise funds for this inner-city community organisation.

OPTION 2 – Park Revamp: Use your hands and creative to help beautify the Berea park!

Berea park needs some TLC! Slap on your overalls to paint & repair this public space.

OPTION 3 – Blanket & food parcel drive: Winters in Johannesburg can be brutal, why not donate an older blanket (or new blanket) that you’re no longer using?

For this challenge, you’re asked to collect and distribute care packs for one of Jozi’s hijacked buildings – home to hundreds of the city’s poor!
