What Can I Expect From The Coffee and Chocolate Trail?

This unique event offers a journey into the heart of Farmhouse 58, where you’ll traverse stunning gullies, pass by tranquil streams and dams, and ascend towards the “Sun wHole” Wall, your first watering point.

From there, you’ll cross the ridge, pass by pristine dams, and depending on your chosen distance (6km or 10km), you’ll begin your descent, passing an impressive waterfall on your way to the finish line. If you opt for the 15km route, you’ll continue on high ground, taking in the expansive grasslands and Johannesburg skyline. Before descending past farm activities to the finish line.

This event offers something for everyone, from breathtaking African wildlife to the chance to connect with one of the world’s most unique heritage sites. Included in your entry is a finisher medal (a branded glass latte mug), a complimentary coffee and chocolate experience post-trail, access to a chill zone with live music, fully stocked water points, exclusive access to brand new, well-marked trails, trail fees, and medical support.

The routes consist mainly of jeep tracks and some single tracks. While there are no excessively steep or technical climbs, there are gradual ascents that will challenge you. Wild Africa Experiences rates this venue a 3.5 out of 5 in terms of difficulty. There are some paths that are clear and not overly technical or rocky.
