Indulge in the allure of soft, fluffy bao buns that surprisingly become a breeze to create once you grasp the technique. The workshop takes place on Saturday, 16 September 2023.

What Can I Expect From The Bao Bun Workshop?

Embark on a journey to craft and steam your very own baos, with the opportunity to fill them with a protein, delectable sauces, and julienned vegetables for a delightful lunch. Kindly note that these bao buns incorporate dairy milk, making them unsuitable for vegan or dairy-free preparations.

Throughout this workshop, participants will gain insights into the following skills:

-Crafting and kneading bao dough

-Shaping, proofing, and steaming bao buns

-Enhancing knife prowess

-Preparing an invigorating Asian salad paired with a dressing

Your ticket encompasses the following provisions: a Welcome drink, light lunch and a 4-hour immersive workshop.

Ensure you come equipped with the following essentials for the session:

-Apron

-Two dish cloths

-Chef’s knife or any substantial sharp blade

-Storage container for any bao remnants

-While recommended, having short nails and comfortable shoes is optional

The engaging workshop will unfold in the welcoming confines of the Indaba Room within HTA School of Culinary Art in Randburg. There is secure parking on the premises. (It’s important to note that they are not affiliated with HTA cooking school; they are solely utilising their venue for this event.)
