Arabian nights, like Arabian days… so goes the opening song of the magical world of Aladdin. The production is called ‘Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp’ and the live production takes place at The Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace between 25 November and 4 December 2022.

What Can I Expect From Aladdin at Emperors Palace?

The timeless story will come to life on stage at Emperors Palace and has been adapted countless times since its first production in 1704. The story of Aladdin “from rags to riches” still inspires and entertains so many generations as he befriends a genie and falls in love with a princess.

The production is based on the original text by Producer Anjil Naidoo and has been slightly tweaked. It has also been reimagined on stage by a team of award-winning theatre artists. The cast is made up of 20 different individuals boasting some of South Africa’s bets young and more established actors and dancers.
