“BAH! HUMBUG!” so says Ebenezer Scrooge of Charles Dicken’s clasic novel, A Christmas Carol. The tale is back onstage at Montecasino Theatre from 14 December until 24 December 2022.
This will be the 6th incarnation of Dickens’ timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge in Johannesburg. The Classic festive season story comes to life during December with original music and is a feast for the senses! A quick synopsis of the theatrical retelling; Ebenezer Scrooge is a miser who dislikes Christmas. Moreover, he meets ghosts from his past, present and future. The ghosts take him on an emotional journey that sees him turn over a new leaf.
The production is perfect for a family outing or starting a new festive tradition with this show being in its 6th year in Johannesburg. Tickets range from R150 to R230 depending on where you are seated. The production has been described as ‘a sumptuous banquet for the eyes, ears and imagination; a sensory delight for any tired soul.’
