What Was It?
Over the long weekend, you don’t want to miss out on the magical Easter Folk Market and Fairy Festival. Spend the day meandering through a real forest, spot the fairies and see their little houses along the Faerie Trail. Make sure you put on your prettiest fairy outfit and fairy wings, as they will be taking photos of all their visitors – big folk and little folk, even four-legged friends dressed as fairies and try for a world record. Enjoy the beautiful craft stalls under the trees. Treat your taste buds to delicious artisan food stalls and trucks, yummy fresh baked goodies, fresh hot cross buns and home-made Easter eggs. Craft beer, pink gin cocktails and drinks in coconut eggs will also be available on the day.
As for the fun activities, there will be a maypole with dancing ribbons, folk music under the trees, kites decorating the sky, archery for big and small visitors, tree climbing, pony rides, tomahawk toss, zip-lining for kids in the trees and exciting Easter Egg challenges. Pets on leashes welcome and there will be a prize for the best-dressed pooch.
