Baby Mama Drama 2

Sifiso Nene is back with another Baby Mama saga this July. As if COVID-19 wasn't stressful enough, Nene has to deal with another kind of pandemic all together. Join him as he shares his struggles to escape the baby mama plague at Carnival City on 9 July 2022. Relatable, funny, and somewhat irreverent, this is South African comedy at its very best. Don't miss it!

The Comedy Central Roast of Khanyi Mbau

When is the last time you tucked into a good roast? Showmax and Comedy Central bring you the juiciest roast of the season this July. A panel of local celebrities and influencers will take to the stage at the Teatro at Montecasino to "roast" each other before setting their torches and pitchforks on the guest of honour for the evening. Actress and socialite Khanyi Mbau will be grilled, garnished and roasted to hilarious perfection. Tickets are selling out fast, so book yours as soon as possible.

30in5 Comedy Show

Goliath and Goliath turn the big 10 this year. To celebrate they'll be hosting the 30-in5 Comedy Show at the Lyric Theatre. 30 comics each performing five minutes of comedy, culminating in one fabulous evening of laughter. The line-up includes the Goliath comedy stalwarts - Donovan, Jason and Nicholas - as well as Nina Hastie, Mpho Popps and Joey Rasdien among others. If you've sorely missed live comedy over the passed few years, this show is the perfect reintroduction into the South African comedy scene. Come prepared for side splitting gags, witty jokes, and clever observations of everyday life from the best comedians in the country; all packed into five minute slots. We can't wait!

Joker's July at Emperors Palace

It's a never-ending festival of laughter at Emperors Palace this July. Throughout the month, there will be a fantastic lineup of comedy acts to entertain you with their witty antics, puns and foibles. Kicking things off is the iconic Dr Riaad Moosa with a whole new set of cutting edge material. Other acts on the bill include Carvin Goldstone and fan favourite Alan Committie in his much loved show 'Love Factually' - a hilarious exploration of the differences and similarities between men and women. Joker's July closes out wit Joey and His Faves on the 30th of July. Joey Rasdien, Dillan Oliphant and Mo Mothebe will have you in fits of giggles as they offer their unique perspectives on everything from politics to personal finances.
