2017 is a big year! There will be plenty of rocking bands, artists and entertainment heading our way thanks to Big Concerts. And, if you wondering what to expect this year, keep reading to see who will be touring South Africa and taking centre stage. 

First up are The Lumineers – Cleopatra World Tour

The Lumineers will be coming to South Africa in support of their latest smash hit album, Cleopatra. Their self-titled debut album became a multi-million seller, carrying them on a journey from the Grammys to the top of the charts. The best news is that they will be performing in Joburg on 28 April 2017 at the Ticketpro Dome. This is another Big Concerts experience presented by 5FM and Channel 24 that you don’t want to miss. Justin Bieber – Purpose World Tour
His hit singles from his album Purpose, including What Do you Mean, Sorry, Love Yourself, which all peaked at number one on the Billboard Top 200, made Bieber the first male artist in almost a decade to have three number ones from an album. Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games
Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games is a spectacular new staging of the traditional masterpiece. With all the precision and thrills of the original, Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games features new staging, costumes and choreography. The show features cutting-edge technology including a giant Radiant flat screen that spans the width of the stage, special effects lighting, dancing robots and world champion acrobats. Expect to be wowed from 15 August to 3 September at The Teatro at Montecasino.

Lady Antebellum
Lady Antebellum will be performing in South Africa for the very first time in October at Ticketpro Dome. With more than 18 million album sales worldwide, the seven-time Grammy award-winning group has earned six platinum singles. South Africa’s Refentse Morake will be the special guest artist as part of their You Look Good Tour. Refentse Morake’s musical career has skyrocketed since becoming an overnight online sensation in 2015. In less than a year after its release, his debut album, My Haartbly in ‘n Taal, shot to double platinum status – a feat rarely achieved by a first album, making him the top Afrikaans seller in South Africa for 2016 and filling his schedule with as many as 23 performances each month.

With five top 10 hits and prestigious tour support slots with Taylor Swift, McFly and Austin Mahone, The Vamps joined forces with Demi Lovato to release Somebody To You and then went on to release a cover of Oh Cecelia with Vine sensation Shawn Mendes. With an incredible 450 million views across YouTube and VEVO, almost a million YouTube subscribers, 4.4 million Facebook likes and 3 million followers on Twitter, The Vamps are excited to visit all their fans in South Africa in February 2017.
