Trump’s

Weekend breakfast buffets at Trumps are the best. Whether you are going for super healthy or a full-on boere breakfast, they’ve got the spread for you. It’s not that heavy on the wallet either… and their coffee can hold its own to the bespoke baristas of Parkhurst. Buffet items range from fresh fruit to pancakes, waffles, bacon (so, so much bacon) and everything in between. There is also a build-your-own-omelette station.

Cedar Lodge

Sunday lunch at Cedar Lodge is what makes travelling to the west worth the trek. Cedar Lodge has built a massive reputation for itself as one of those hidden sushi gems that we come across every once in a while. But the buck does not stop there. On Sundays they bring out the big guns with all you can eat soups, salads, carveries and puddings galore. Their wine selection is quite impressive, with some of the wines being old enough to rent a car. Cedar Lodge is your best bet for a buffet on a budget. As an added bonus, Cedar Lodge also has a Sunday craft market you can check out after lunch.

Hokkaido

A best buffets article would not be complete without an all-you-can-eat sushi bar showing its face. One of our favourite places to grab sushi would be at Hokkaido. The sushi bar is named after the second largest island of Japan – an interesting fact to mull over while you munch on your sashimi. We like it because of the conveyor belt stuffed with avo maki, salmon California rolls, fashion sandwiches, hand rolls and more. Trust us, you will leave satisfied.

moyo Zoo Lake

moyo Zoo Lake made it on to this list because their braai-style buffets are priced pretty well for its quality. The buffets are only available over weekends and are quiet popular. The buffet consists of breads, dips, pickles, portions of braai meats and even some decadent desserts. Besides, you get to have lunch and have your face painted in lekker African style.
