Southern Sun Hyde Park

Braamfontein is known for its nightlife and the bar at the Bannister Hotel has a big part to play in the neighbourhood’s party persona. Keep it old school with some sick beats, a couple of beers and a lot of dancing. The festivities usually start picking up at around 21:00. One of Sandton’s most celebrated little gems is the Maxim Lounge with its sophisticated stash of whiskies and cigars. The old cocktail spot has been upgraded and given a gentleman’s shave, decked out with new leather seats, and there’s a special locker system for your bottles of booze and a great menu. Yeah, sure this doesn’t fall under hotel bars, per se, but it’s part of a hotel, and it’s a bar, right? Right?

Ascot Boutique Hotel

Just around the corner from the Houghton Golf Club is the Ascot Boutique Hotel, waiting for you in anticipation. Cocktails galore, good music and bar food you can’t help but post on Instagram. Bring your A-game and let your hair down at the Ascot’s bar. It’s a place deserving of your leisure time.
