The Best Bed & Breakfasts In Town

Visiting from out of town or partying in the city? Here are our favourite B&B’s to stay at in and around Johannesburg.

There are so many bed and breakfast establishments to choose from in Johannesburg. While some have the colonial charm of yesteryear, others offer a modern and chic atmosphere. If you’re struggling to decide on where to stay for your next city break, take a look at some of our options below.

Life On 3rd

Snuggled in between Westcliff and the Melville Koppies is Life on 3rd, a three-star guesthouse kitted out with the best Joburg has to offer. With cosy, quirky decor and design you’ll experience that home-away-from-home feeling. Life on 3rd boasts 14 rooms, each decorated in a unique way.

Village Green Guesthouse

Parkview is known for its beautiful architecture, rich natural spaces and, of course, the Village Green Guesthouse. This leafy little village holds a four-star rating and is worthy of each, as its hospitality, style and comfort are impeccable. Village Green is also within walking distance of iconic points of interest, such as Zoo Lake and the African Market.

Lucky Bean Guesthouse

In 2015 the Lucky Bean Guesthouse was inducted into the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame and rightfully so. This B&B situated in the arts district of Melville has put smiles on plenty of faces and has ensured that many people leave well rested and taken care of. The Lucky Bean Guesthouse boasts nine beautifully-decorated rooms, and you will leave feeling like you’ve had a great stay.

Cherry Tree Cottage

Back to basics and blissful stays, that’s what Cherry Tree Cottage is all about. The Linden based B&B is a brilliant mixture of the bare essentials mixed with great service and good food. Be sure to check them out and kick your feet up at their tranquil koi pond.
