Atteridgeville Jazz Festival

The music and entertainment event with its theme ‘vintage and kofifi’ will commemorate the town’s rich jazz music history, featuring the likes of legendary musician Sipho‘Hotstix’ Mabuse, the queen of African house music, Bucie, BET award recipient, Sjava, SABC 1’s Live Amp host, DJ Lamiez, Nkgo Jazz Band, Jazz musician, Norman Chauke, Khaya FM’s Tbose Mokwele, Motsweding FM’s Amon Mokoena and many more. Giving back to Atteridgeville community. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Atteridgeville Community. Event organizer and producer, YM Tshidi Projects, has selected a few beneficiaries including Phelikid, a child and youth focused NPO working towards social and economic empowerment through  community outreaches, networking, educational Programmes. Through PheliKid, the organizer will assist school going children with school fees, Matric Ball dance and Class room renovations. Another beneficiary is the newly found NPO, Turning Point, which offers skills development programmes such as carpentry and cosmetology for recovering drugs addicts. Additionally, Local stalls and vendors are encouraged to apply for trading by paying it forward. Instead of paying an exuberant amount to secure a spot, organisers are encouraging vendors to buy a ticket for 1 person who’s never been to a concert or festival before.
