Recently, we visited The DAVINCI Hotel & Suites in Sandton to experience the Indulgence Package that they offer. Our Evening At The DAVINCI Hotel & Suites

What’s more exciting than a date night with your partner? A date with your partner at one of the most luxurious hotels within the opulent and upmarket suburb of Sandton! Upon arrival, we couldn’t help but admire the beautiful setting and décor throughout the hotel. From the moment you step into the hotel, you feel as if you’re a VIP or royalty.

The staff are all pleasant, friendly, and welcoming while also remaining professional. They’re all happy to assist with anything – with information about the hotel and its surrounds, to helping you with taking your luggage up to your room and ensuring a smooth check-in.

Our Beautiful Room

For the night, we were setup in a Patio Deluxe Room, and we must say, we have never felt more relaxed and comfortable. The room is cosy and intimate, complete with a King-sized bed, flat-screen TV, a coffee station, and a patio that boasted beautiful views of the surrounding buildings above, as well as sights of the hotel spa’s relaxation and pool area below.

And to top it all off, the bathroom was magnificent with a huge bathtub that will definitely fit two comfortably, a delightful shower with a high-pressure shower head, and loads of storage space for all of our luggage. The room was definitely a home away from home.

And The Spoils Begin

While we were getting comfortable and exploring our hotel room, there was a knock at the door. The Head Chef from the Maximillien Restaurant had arrived with our first spoils for the evening – bubbly and chocolate-dipped strawberries! How romantic!

He also gave us the menu for the the three-course dinner we were to enjoy later that evening, while also giving us suggestions on which dishes we should try. All of the options on the menu sounded so delectable, we felt as if we were spoilt for choice. After mulling over the menu and placing our order for the evening ahead, we proceeded to get ready for our next spoil on the agenda.

A Visit To The DAVINCI Spa & Gym

The next spoil on our agenda was a visit to The DAVINCI Spa & Gym, located directly across the room from the concierge desk. We have the opportunity to experience a soothing and indulgent 45-minute Neck, Shoulder and Back Massage.

From the spa reception, we were led to the changing rooms to get comfortable in robes and slippers, then whisked off to the treatment room, perfect for two. The massage was much-needed and utterly invigorating. So much so, that after our spa treatment, we decided to take a long stroll through Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square to do a little bit of retail therapy.

Dinner At Maximillien Restaurant

After a relaxing and oh-so indulgent day exploring and being pampered at The DAVINCI Hotel & Suites, it was time to delight our taste buds with a scrumptious three-course dinner at Maximillien Restaurant. This was an absolute treat!

Their Indulge Package Menu includes dishes such as Crispy Prawn, Cannelloni Filled with Couscous and Angus Beef Fillet Tataki for starters. Mains were Dry Aged Rib Eye, Dukka Spiced Salmon, Grilled Chicken Tikka, Miso King Oyster Scallop, and Seared Suck Breast. And for dessert – Pumpkin Cheesecake, Chocolate and Hazelnut Tart, and Chocolate Fondant. Everything was delicious! We highly recommend the Chocolate Fondant! It’s definitely the definition of indulgent.

After dinner, we called it a night and went back up to our comfy room and watched some TV. We had something delightful to look forward to in the morning – a feast of a breakfast that left us feeling stuffed to the gills and satisfied.

A Hearty Breakfast

In the morning, we were awoken by room service who brought us a breakfast fit for royalty! No matter what we were craving, it was service to us, in our room, on the patio. Fresh sliced fruit, freshly baked croissants and breakfast muffins, smooth and creamy fruit yoghurt, coffee, fresh orange juice, some bacon and sausages, mushrooms, the works! There was everything we could possibly desire.

Once we had finished our breakfast, we rolled down to reception to check out with the super friendly concierge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the lovely experience we had with the staff, the hotel, the comfort and luxury that they offer, and of course, the delicious cusine!
