A Dancers Mind by Youth Ballet Theatre


See the talented dancers of the Youth Theatre Ballet perform a dance tribute inspired by world renowned Russian choreographer, George Balanchine at the UJ Arts Centre Theatre this August. 

What Is It?

A Dancers Mind – a moving dance tribute inspired by world renowned Russian choreographer, George Balanchine. Watch in awe as a cast of 15 young dancers (ranging from age 10 to 18) from the Youth Ballet Theatre take to the stage.  They will bring alive not only George Balanchine inspired ballet pieces, but also full length contemporary works by Ipeleng Merafe, Samantha Hood and Shenell Petterson.

This ballet takes the audience through works inspired by some of George Balanchines’ most famous ballets. It promises to be a show to remember and one to inspire the youth. So, come with the dancers on this journey through the history and wonder of the world of ballet, as they creep into the mind of a true artistic legend.

A Dancers Mind will be staged at the UJ Arts Centre Theatre for one night only! Get your tickets ASAP to avoid missing out.
