Love, Africa – A Celebration Of Africa

Join Afrorama celebration, “Love, Africa” fundraiser event! The event will be a unique blend of entertainment, knowledge-sharing, African food and art. Save the date for Saturday, 18 November 2023.

What Can I Expect From Love, Africa- A Celebration of Africa?

Highlights of the day:

-Storytelling

-Games for kids and families

-Afro-centric quiz

-African food

-Live music + DJs

Proceeds from “Love, Africa” will support Afromas work. Afrorama is a knowledge hub of Africa which amplifies digital knowledge of African countries by providing a 360º overview of the continent through key categories including Arts and Literature, Business and Politics, Entertainment, History and Science and Technology. Your donation will support the scaling of their 2024 activities.

What is Afrorama?

Since launching on social media in April 2021, afrorama has gained over 20k+ followers across social media, participated in 5 different accelerator programmes, and won the 2021 UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Hackathon. On Africa Day 2023, they launched their website with their first articles, as well as an Oral History Competition. Judges of the competition included Spotify’s Sub-Saharan Africa Managing Director, Cameroonian singer-songwriter Blick Bassy, and SA-based writer and poet Kojo Baffoe. In 2024, their aim is to scale their platform to become the website of choice for learning about African topics.
