Play Africa Children’s Museum, is thrilled to invite families with children aged 12 and under to join them in commemorating Creative Arts Play Day, alongside numerous other museums worldwide. This special occasion aims to showcase the significant role museums play in fostering connections among families and offering safe havens crucial for the well-being of society. The event takes place on Saturday, 15 July 2023.
African Storytelling: Immerse yourselves in the rich tapestry of African culture through captivating storytelling sessions. Discover ancient tales, myths, and legends that have been passed down through generations.
Creative Arts Activities: Unleash your child’s creativity and imagination with a range of hands-on art activities. From painting and drawing to sculpting and collage-making, there’s something to inspire every budding artist.
Toddler Play: Designed specifically for the youngest visitors, the toddler play area offers a safe and stimulating environment where little ones can explore, play, and socialise under the watchful eyes of our experienced staff.
Clay Heads Exhibit LEGO and Duplo: Marvel at the incredible Clay Heads exhibit, where sculpted masterpieces come to life. Engage in construction fun with LEGO and Duplo building blocks, allowing children to express their engineering skills and create their own masterpieces.
Monoprinting: Experience the exciting world of monoprinting, a versatile and engaging printmaking technique. Learn how to transfer images and designs onto paper, resulting in unique and stunning artworks.
Furthermore, to participate in this exhilarating day of play-based learning, you are kindly requested a donation of R80 per child. Your contribution will enable Play Africa to continue providing exceptional educational experiences for children of all backgrounds.
