The highly anticipated return of the City2City Ultra Marathon in 2024 marks its comeback after an eight-year absence, promising an even grander and more thrilling event than before! The event takes place on Monday, 12 February 2024.
What Can I Expect From The City2City Ultra Marathon?
Previously held in 2015, this iconic race between Tshwane and Johannesburg is making a triumphant return thanks to the collaborative efforts of esteemed sporting organizations including Gauteng Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Athletics South Africa, Athletics Gauteng North, and Central Gauteng Athletics. What’s more, participants can vie for a remarkable total prize purse of R1.2 million, with the champion claiming an impressive R200,000, second place securing R100,000 each, and third place notching up R50,000 each in winnings!
